Sandra Koch has a degree in mathematics with additional majors in economics and computer science. She began her professional career at a CEP (courier express parcel) company before moving to Hapag-Lloyd AG in Hamburg in 2008. In 2015, she took over the position of Director of the “Market Intelligence” team, which is part of the “Data Insights & AI” department. Sandra brings in-depth expertise in market analysis and data-driven decision making and plays a central role in the strategic development of Hapag-Lloyd.

I started my career in IT & Telecommunications, specializing in the areas of smart cities and smart mobility eventually, first in Rotterdam/Netherlands (working for Dutch Telecom KPN), since 2018 in Munich/Germany, where I joined AID/Argo.AI (Volkswagen's subsidiary for Autonomous Driving). In November 2020 I joined CARIAD, the software subsidiary of Volkswagen.
My field of work couldn’t be more exciting: The 4 mega trends (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric) are on the verge of disrupting mobility as we currently know it. I believe that they are going to change the world for the better, and I’m glad to be a part of it.
